Advancing Careers in Law through the Chicago Bar’s CAP Program

Since 1977, Codilis & Associates has provided legal services to clients across five locations in the country. Some of the attorneys who make up the Illinois-based Codilis and Associates belong to the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), a professional organization comprised of attorneys and judges who advance the legal profession and law while building professional relationships.

Through its Career Advancement Program (CAP), CBA assists attorneys in navigating the legal job market in Chicago for attorneys of different backgrounds at all stages of their careers. Those who participate in CAP can learn from a long-time attorney and career advancement professional, Kathy Morris of Under Advisement, Ltd. As a career counselor, Kathy Morris is a legal ethics faculty member and an innovator. She established a career resource center and a nationwide lawyer training platform to assist future lawyers in finding meaningful jobs.

Participants can also access on-demand videos through the CBA’s YouTube Channel and special programs offered through events during CBA week. Other parts of the program include access to low-cost in-person seminars, webinars, and one-on-one career counseling sessions.
