Established in 1977, Burr Ridge, IL-based law firm Codilis and Associates provides legal counsel to mortgage lenders throughout Illinois, Indiana, Texas, and Missouri. Among its range of services are REO title and closing, bankruptcy, and foreclosure services. A community-driven company, Codilis & Associates is also actively involved with several charity initiatives; one of these is Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, a child welfare organization based in Chicago.

Mercy Homes for Boys and Girls was founded in 1887 as a community-centered, Catholic organization to shelter and nurture children in crisis. It has provided support for over 30,000 young people since its establishment. With a full-time residential program, Mercy Homes manages two campuses across the Chicago area: one for boys and one for girls.

West Loop Campus, the Chicago campus for boys, offers a home to over 100 young men. It is tailored to provide a family-style environment for residents; the campus features a dining hall, dormitory-styled housing, a gymnasium, and a learning center. The institution also fosters community-based values in the boys living on campus by actively participating in community projects.

Located in the south-side neighborhood of Beverly, the Walsh Girls Campus is the girls’ wing of Mercy Homes. With a fitness center, a dining hall, dormitory-styled housing, and the popular Marie Noha Craft Cottage for the artistically inclined, the campus offers a nurturing community for young women. Alongside a safe residential environment, Mercy Homes also provides the young boys and girls under its care with educational, spiritual, vocational, and therapeutic development.
